Who's behind this site, and why it exists.
I work in academic affairs for a university. Over the years, I've noticed that students really struggle with understanding how their GPA and grades are calculated, as well as the repercussions of low grades on their academic standing and financial aid. It's my desire that these tools and resources help educate and provide access to the hidden curriculum aspects of college academics.
I've been brainstorming a plan for this site for years, and I've built it with the student in mind — everything here is intentionally designed to be easy to use and approachable for beginners.

Every calculation runs right in your browser — nothing you type is sent to a server or stored anywhere. No account, no sign-up, no paywall.
This site isn't affiliated with any university, college, or registrar's office. The formulas and scales used throughout are common ones, but every school does things a little differently — repeat-forgiveness rules, grading scales, and academic-standing thresholds all vary. I try to flag that clearly wherever it matters, but the numbers here are for planning purposes, not an official record. Always confirm anything that actually matters (financial aid, academic standing, graduation requirements) with your own registrar or advisor.
